Oklahoma City Just Makes It

The Oklahoma City Barons just sneak into the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs with a 2 - 0 win over the Stars on the road. Jeff Deslauriers made 22 saves in the win and had his third shut out in four games. Also the win marked the Barons fourth straight win. The longest streak in franchise history. The longest since winning four straight from January 9 to January 15. Milan Kytnar and Colin McDonald were the goal scorers. McDonald got his 41st goal of the season.

Callahan Out

The New York Rangers leading scorer Ryan Callahan is out indefinetly with a broken ankle. He broke it by blocking a shot by the Boston Bruins defensman Zedeno Chara. This is the second major injury by blocking a shot this year. The first one was a broken hand on a shot by Pittsburgh Penguins defensman Kris Letang. This can cause the New York Rangers trouble in the playoffs when they face the number one seed Washington Capitals in the first round.
